First of all, I, we, want to thank you all for you expressions of support, phone calls, gifts, visits, kind words and love. It has been humbling and comforting. We hope to come up for air soon and to reach out to each of you but for now please bear with us.
Secondly, those of you who have visited know that Lauren has a book/journal that is full of cards, notes, stickers, and well wishes. I have not written in that book, as this is my card to Lauren. Somehow, we will print this thing out for her to keep as her remembrance of her brain surgery. Some of you have joined on as official "followers" of this blog, others are following it anonymously. I would encourage anyone who has not done so already to post a comment for Lauren so that years from now she will be able to revisit your comments and the positive support of those she loves.

Posting for memories...although I'm pretty sure none of this would or could ever be forgotten. Not sure of Lauren's exact feelings on this blog, but I think it was the best thing you, Chris, could have done for all of us who know and love the Heaven family and are desperate to keep up with what is going on without causing any extra stress or burden for you all. Thank you for doing this and thanks for being you! And Lauren--I hope when you do have this printed out and are reading it to bring you back, that you are healthy and strong!!! WE ALL LOVE YOU! Thank you for letting your dad(or maybe not letting but not being able to stop him from) doing this..for you, for him, for your family, but mostly, for all of us who love you. LOVE, Adrianna :)
ReplyDeleteAdrianna, I have to say that Sandra and I were both impressed by your depth, sensitivity and sincerity in the cards you sent to Lauren and the family. Your comment above is similar, you have a way of expressing yourself that many people twice your age cannot do. Your parents should be very proud, we certainly are.
ReplyDeleteYou and all of Jessica's friends have been great throughout this trying time in our life. She is lucky to have such great friends, we are happy you are in her and our lives.
Hey Lauren: We just found out yesterday about all that you have been going through for months now. You are just amazing - a real trooper. Hang in there, we wish you a speedy recovery. And we want to thank you and your family for their generosity in sharing your experiences with us through this blog; it reminds us all to never forget what the most important things are in life - the love for family, and friends, and taking care of one another. Wishing you great success in your recovery, The Fitzpatricks
ReplyDeleteLauren, Our thoughts are with you daily and we are all praying for your speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteSandra and Chris, You are amazing parents and I am praying that you continue to receive the strength you need. My thoughts are with you daily as well.

ReplyDeleteI remember seeing you the year after we left for college and how much you grew, you were taller than me and so proud of it! Now i can't wait to see how much you've grown throughout this process. I'm so proud that you've been so strong. We all love you and think about you all the time. Keep growing and I'll see you soon :)
P.S. Mr. and Mrs. Heaven, Jessica and James,
ReplyDeleteI love you all too! Thank you Mr. Heaven for keeping us updated, you've kept me in the loop all the way out here in Jersey!! xoxo
